THE FALL OF ICARUS

Could you already be sleeping in the cobalt

blue world of Marc Chagall?

Above the astonishment of silent streams, ​​

knowing yourself to be a path that marks the exit

and shortens the mauve mists that traverse it.​

You’ll be celestial lightness on the wings of Icarus,

plunging to the abyss in a flight of expectancy

kilometers beneath the clouds, skimming the ground.

Where should the ashes of this black night be moved?

Where does that path lead, and its meaning?

They say he’s chasing away the fading storm,

tolerably distant from pain, thus; unfurling sadness,

as if the apocalyptic combination were peeking out, 

high chimera deliriously hovering over his Lion head. 

Chasing away what in continuity is never again

and in the distance now, the feeling of nothingness

under the very grace of this deserted earth,

moving colors to the edge of your white body.

Life wants more life, where there’s no room.
